Deeply saddened to hear of Geoffs passing. I am currently staying at  the Stadacona  Naval Base in Halifax for a few days. While eating at the mess this evening with my wife I was struck by the number of young men in for  for training. Young, fit & fresh looking. As we were so many years ago! -  it made me remember so many good times. Now we are one less. My best to all - hopefully some of you will be able to attend his service.

Regards to all

Farewell Geoff, it was great knowing you.  I hope that you find peace and tranquility in whatever is next in store for us.  RIP.

I remember us rushing to defaulters parade one morning; someone said to Geoff that he'd forgotten his tie; quick as a flash he tied his tie and raced out of Cork block - but no shirt or collar under his battledress jacket. And he passed inspection! May he again pass inspection now. If our thoughts count, he will. RIP Geoff.
