Brian Turnbull

Left RMC Mar 1962. Returned to Brisbane, Joined 24 Const Sqdrn Enoggera 1963,then 11 Field Sqrdn. took up Cadet Quant Surv position with Comm Dept of Works. Married Maria 18 Mar 1967.
Worked in various capacities in Construction industry to 1983. Appointed as OIC Mawson Station Antarctica for winter of 1984. Project Manager of Antarctic Rebuilding Program 1985 - 1993.
Resumed private enterprise as managing director of Hobart developer to 1996,
then Project Director with international Eng. Consultancy (SKM now Jacobs Engineering). Retired for health reasons 2006. Cancer diagnosis 2004, but still upright!!
Now restoring vintage motor cycle, and trying to reverse increasing golf handicap.

Fell madly in love with a WRAAC private, and incurred the wrath of Bluey Hodgkinson "conducting unbecoming etc..", at the time glad to leave RMC behind, but subsequently would love to have had a military career. Fond memories of a great group of guys.

Recall the Exercise in Kangaroo Valley when Bob Millar stayed too close to the fire and had the water in his socks boil. Several of use were evacuated to Ulladulla with trench feet.
